Our Company.

At M&G, we combine the enterprise and art of design with the practicality and constructability required to create buildings that are both attractive and functional. Drawing on years of experience in both design and construction, we have built a unique company tailored to meet the complex needs of any client.

The company was originally formed on January 23, 1996, as J.D.E. Engineering, P.L.L., and operated in conjunction with Jarvis, Downing & Emch, Inc. On July 27, 2005, the company changed its name to CMG Architects and Engineers, LLP and opened an independent office in Wheeling. The partners included George A. Carroll, Jr., P.E., Eric Matyskiela, P.E., and Dan Grant, AIA.

On May 27, 2008, the company changed the status of its legal entity and name to Matyskiela & Grant, Inc., comprising Eric Matyskiela, P.E., and Dan Grant, AIA, doing business as M&G Architects & Engineers. In 2020, Dana L. Brooks, AIA, became a vested shareholder of Matyskiela & Grant, Inc.

Owners Dan Grant and Eric Matyskiela recognized a need in the Ohio Valley for a creative yet practical architectural and engineering firm. With a combined 68 years of industry experience, they established a versatile practice that meets this need while utilizing state-of-the-art technology to promote efficiency.
