West Liberty University approached M&G with the goal of replacing the existing press box and bleacher system at Russek Field. M&G collaborated with the University to develop an innovative and cost-effective solution that met their programmatic needs.

To support fundraising efforts, M&G produced marketing materials, including 3D renderings and presentation boards, which successfully helped the University secure funding from private donors. The design met program requirements while staying within the target budget. Solutions included repurposing and integrating the existing site retaining wall as the rear wall of the new press box structure, as well as employing innovative soil stabilization techniques for the new grandstand.

The University sought a press box design that would make a visual impact and stand apart from the more traditional architecture on campus. M&G achieved this by incorporating Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) panels, polished ground-face CMU, and bold design elements such as sharp angles and cantilevers.
