The design of the new Wheeling Fire Department Headquarters continues the city’s revitalization by providing a state-of-the-art centralized facility with regional training capabilities. The building’s durability-inspired interior includes multiple apparatus bays for fire and emergency equipment, offices, bunk rooms, classrooms, a day room, outdoor patio, fitness facility, and training tower. The exterior is crafted from precast concrete panels topped with a sawtooth parapet that echoes the historical rooflines of the city and the surrounding hills.
